SHANGHAI, Dec. 29(SMM) –Last Friday night, SHFE 1503 aluminum contract slid to RMB 13,105/mt after starting at RMB 13,150/mt, and finished the night session at RMB 13,125/mt. Trading volumes totaled 5,950 lots, with positions down 206 lots to 136,052 lots.
 
On Monday, the most active SHFE aluminum contract should fall to RMB 13,050-13,150/mt due to slowdown in China’s industrial profits. In China’s spot market, year-end cash crunch will dampen trading activity, with spot discounts of RMB 0-20/mt and premiums of RMB 0-20/mt expected over SHFE 1501 aluminum contract.
