SHANGHAI, Jul. 21 (SMM) - Spot aluminum largely traded between RMB 13,860-13,890/mt in Shanghai on Monday, a discount of RMB 70-100/mt over SHFE 1408 aluminum contract. Mainstream traded prices were RMB 13,890-13,920/mt in Wuxi and RMB 13,900-13,920/mt in Hangzhou. SHFE aluminum for August delivery jumped to RMB 13,900/mt, sending spot aluminum prices up by around RMB 100/mt. Traders scrambled to buy out of bullishness, while downstream producers took a wait-and-see stance.
