SHANGHAI, Jan. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1402 aluminum contract drifted lower to RMB 13,615/mt on Friday. Spot aluminum largely traded at RMB 13,450-13,480/mt in Shanghai, RMB 13,420-13,430/mt in Wuxi, and RMB 13,460-13,470/mt in Hangzhou. Continuous declines in SHFE aluminum prices discouraged some cargo holders from selling. Downstream producers went bargain hunting. This allowed sellers to hike offers slightly.
