SHANGHAI, Apr. 8 (SMM) – SHFE 1606 aluminum opened at RMB 11,660/mt on Friday. The most active contract climbed to RMB 11,705/mt on short covering, but fell back to RMB 11,630/mt in the afternoon due to short selling. Finally, it ended down RMB 135/mt at RMB 11,635/mt. Trading volumes were up 41,860 lots to 162,978 lots, and positions were up 3,662 to 260,446.
