SHANGHAI, Feb. 22 (SMM) – SHFE 1604 aluminum opened at RMB 11,150/mt on Monday. The contract climbed to RMB 11,275/mt, but then fell back due to profit-taking by longs. Finally, the most active contract ended at RMB 11,210/mt. Trading volumes were up 81,006 lots to 220,932 lots, and positions were up 2,922 to 250,208. SHFE 1605 aluminum contract has shown signs of becoming the most active contract since its positions increased 9,106 today. The KDJ is pointing upward, suggesting that there is still room for SHFE aluminum to rise.
