SHANGHAI, Feb. 18 (SMM) – SHFE 1604 aluminum opened at RMB 11,005/mt on Thursday. The contract briefly climbed to RMB 11,055/mt, but then fell back to move around RMB 10,975/mt. Finally, the most active contract ended at RMB 10,965/mt. Trading volumes were down 108,000 lots to 122,812 lots, and positions were up 2,154 to 247,736. The most active contract should continue struggling around RMB 11,000/mt in the short term.
